Wednesday, February 23rd, 2011Site Policy: Ordering cards for hand delivery at tournaments
Wednesday, February 23rd, 2011These are the general guidelines for any event that is listed as one where DocAngst.com will be in attendance.
- You can always order cards to be shipped to you, as long as you leave enough time in advance so that the cards will arrive in your hands in time.
- If you want to have cards delivered by hand, you should still place an order on the site. Orders can be placed up to a finite deadline before the tournament. This will be specified in the tournament description post.
- Orders to be delivered by hand may be paid in advance using PayPal, or on site at the event using cash. If you pay in advance, any shipping fees you paid will be refunded on site.
- Orders to be delivered by hand must specifically mention the event in the Notes field of the order. Please do not send a separate email with these instructions.
If you have any questions about whether we will have a presence at any specific event, you can check these posts or our FaceBook page, or send an email to sales@docangst.com.
2011 Kotei Season: Expedited shipping options
Wednesday, February 23rd, 2011The major L5R tournament season is upon us once again, which means that it’s important to get key cards into your hands! We will try to keep cards stocked on the site as much as possible. If you do not see what you are looking for, email us and we will try to find a way to accomodate you.
Make sure when placing your order that the shipping address on your account is up to date! Misdelivered packages at this time of year can be very disappointing. Please note that we use the address attached to your DocAngst.com account to determine the destination of the package.
In order to ensure you have your cards in time, consider our different shipping options! Most normal orders will be mailed within 7 days at maximum, depending on how much time is available to get to a post office. Regular first class orders, both domestic and international, have no fixed delivery window. If you need cards for a particular tournament and do not want to spring for a more expedited shipping option, please mention the tournament date and location in the buyer’s notes on your order — while we may not be able to accomodate everyone, letting us know that you are trying to get your cards within a certain time frame will ensure some extra attention. Do not send separate emails with any such instructions — please use the buyer’s notes on your order. We receive too many emails to keep track of every side note, especially during the busy season!
If you want your cards sooner, we can do that too! For an extra fee, Priority Mail is available to U.S. addresses (typically 2-3 business days delivery time) and international addresses (typically 6-10 business days). We also offer Express Mail to U.S. addresses (1-2 business days). Upon request, Express Mail may be available to several international addresses (3-5 business days), though the fee is distinctly higher. This option is not available for all countries so please ask first.
Priority Mail and Express Mail orders will be shipped out on the next business day following the placement of the order unless that business day is a vacation/travel day. During Kotei season, many weekends will be considered “travel days,” so orders will not ship out on Friday, Saturday, and occasionally on Monday — please plan accordingly (planned DocAngst.com Kotei appearances will be announced in advance of particular events). Since you are paying the extra fee for the expedited shipping, your order takes precedence and will be filled and shipped as soon as possible.
Finally, if you are an international buyer, note that your order may be delayed by your country’s Customs Office. If you feel that your order is overdue, please check first with your local post office, then your Customs Office, to determine if the order is being held up on your end. Expected delivery times for expedited options are listed above; regular first class air mail can be delivered as quickly as 4-5 days but has been known to take upwards of two weeks depending on the destination country’s delays. Buyers seeking their parcels have frequently found them waiting with their customs service.
Again, if there are any questions about shipping options or anything else, contact us. You can even ask your question as a comment to this post.
